Easter is so much more than pastel colors, easter dresses, easter-egg hunts, and candy. In that spirit I picked a modest thrifted Easter Dress that symbolizes, to me, the true meaning of Easter.
Easter is about celebrating the resurrection of our savior, Jesus Christ. Jesus paid for our sins, because He is the only one who could, he died for us, and then rose the 3rd day. He lives today, exalted, still perfect, and within reach for all of us, ready and willing to be there for us to cast our sins upon so that we can be forgiven through His atonement for us. Because of Him, all of us will live again. Because of Him, all of us can be forgiven, Because of Him, all of us can live as families, together forever.
This modest easter dress is thrifted (Uptown Cheapskate,) as is this blush coat (Poshmark.) I love thrifting from name-brand thrifting stores and sites! As a student I try not to spend much on my wardrobe, so thrifting pre-loved clothing makes trendy styles more attainable and they’re just as pretty!
I also like that giving a beautiful item of clothing a second chance is a wonderful reminder to me of how I’ve been given infinite second chances in my life, all made possible by my Savior, Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. #PrinceofPeace
These bracelets are Proverb Bands, each carrying gospel sayings to remind me to think good thoughts about myself, others, and to remember my Savior throughout the day. The profits from Proverb Bands go to the Defend Innocence foundation, to sponsor the treatment and healing of the victims of sexual abuse.
