Braids are in full bloom this season and I’m wondering where they’ve been for the past decade! So, here’s another gorgeous locale and hairstyle featuring this stunning Easter style starring my fave blush tulle skirt styled with an oversize flower crown.
I couldn’t get enough of this Easter Sunday look so I just had to style it a second time! (See the first way I styled it earlier this week here!) My photographer Diana Putnam Photography and I found these gorgeous spring blossoms on Center Street in Provo just east of the Provo City Center Temple, (the newest LDS temple currently under reconstruction and it’s going to be gorgeous!)
This tulle skirt Easter look is a perfect fit for the spring season with all the trees in full bloom! This full skirt from Downeast Basics is made of 6 layers of blush tulle (perfect fluffiness) and hits just below the knee when worn at the natural waist making it both adorable and modest! This tight geometric print tee and leather tassel bag are also from Downeast (love that place!) I found these comfy wedges, elastic flower crown, opal necklace, and gold double-sided earrings from Charlotte Russe. (The jewelry was buy 2 for $10 and the shoes were buy one get one for $10 so it was a great day!)
Then I decided to try some poses inspired by my fashion icons. So without further adieu…
This is my Cara Loren Inspired Pose:This is my Rachel Parcell (Pink Peonies) Inspired Pose:And this is my Amber Fillerup (Barefoot Blonde) Inspired Pose:I did this braid on myself the other day and called it an “Elsa Braid” until someone told me that it’s actually called a “dutch braid” (face palm emoji) and Twist Me Pretty has a super amazing dutch braid tutorial if you want to create the look I did here! (LOVE all of her hair styles! My own attempts at some of her styles are coming your way!)
As always a huge shoutout to my photographer Diana Putnam Photography. I love hanging out with her when we are shooting and we have become super good friends! Make sure you check out her rates for Senior Pictures, Missionary Pictures, and Wedding Packages!
I hope that everyone has an amazing easter this year! I’ll be spending this Easter on vacation with my husband’s family in California and watching the LDS General Conference. You can watch it too on LDS.org, but get your cute notebooks and pens ready cause you’re gonna want to take notes! Whatever you’re doing this weekend, have a Happy Easter celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on that beautiful spring day once upon a time.
