My go-to color this spring has been blush! Blush is that pretty pinkish nude color that’s been popping up everywhere lately, even on the trees! This is a blush modest spring outfit I’ve worn probably a dozen times this season and decided I should probably get it on the blog! It’s been fluctuating between warm and chilly here in Utah the past few weeks so I’ve kept my blush dress coat handy for days like today and easily add it to any look like this one!
These pretty spring pictures were taken by my favorite Utah photographer Diana Putnam Photography. She’s splitting this summer between Salt Lake and Austin so if she’s near you make sure you grab a session with her!
I thrifted this super cute blush coat from Thred Up, a fun thrifting website with lightly used brand name clothes. People like you and me send in their used clothes (via a pre-paid shipping bag they send,) then Thred Up photographs each one and lists them on their site so we can buy them! It’s super fun to shop because there are so many pieces from this season as well as lots of past seasons for amazing prices!
This modest blush blouse has gone with everything and this spring! It’s from Downeast and is sold out now, but they have lots of other cute similar ones! It’s perfectly lightweight and thin which can be tricky to wear both with and without garments if you don’t know my favorite trick for light colored thin tops and dresses: nude bras! A nude bra will fix all of your light top or sheer top problems. Of course the top still needs to be opaque enough not to actually be see-through for this to work, but it works with most tops!) Most people go for a white bra but that’s good for only one thing: bra lines. Most women wearing garments always go for white, but don’t do it! Just wear a nude bra with everything and it will work every time! See more tips like this and links to my favorite nude bras on my Modesty Essentials Directory.
I found these cute stretchy black and white gingham crops on Uniqlo! I bought them on a whim after seeing them on a super cute fashion blogger (I wish I could remember who right now!) and they were such a good buy! They are stretchy, the perfect mix between leggings and pants (because they look like pants but feel like leggings!) and they go with everything!
I kept my eyes peeled for the perfect blush lace ups all spring long and finally found these beauties called The Melody Flats from Ruby Claire Boutique! So darling!
I accessorized with my black and white One Little Word bracelet set from Kay & Star (an adorable mom & daughter jewelry shop,) this rose gold bag I found at Ross, my Nude Cut-Out leather earrings from Nickel & Suede (their new Lip Gloss leather earrings would have been cute too!) and a H&M pearl collar thrifted from Uptown Cheapskate.
My beautiful lash extensions were done by Katherine at Amazing Lash Studio American Fork. I love chatting it up with her while I relax and get my lashes filled every couple weeks. It’s close to my house and who doesn’t love laying on a massage table for an hour listening to relaxing music and walking out with voluminous lashes! It’s a dream come true! (You can even nap if you want!)
