Easter is such a special time of year because we are celebrating everything that happened during the last week of Jesus’s life as well as his Resurrection after the third day. During the last week of his life he instituted the sacrament, performed the atonement in Gethsemane where he paid for all of our sins and felt all of our pain, was crucified on the cross on Calvary, and then rose the third day as a resurrected Celestial being. If any one of those events hadn’t occurred, the atonement wouldn’t have been complete. All of Easter week is worth remembering, celebrating, studying, and preaching about, because without these things we wouldn’t be able to progress eternally to eventually live with Him and our families again after this life. I styled this modest casual striped t-shirt dress from Tara Lynn’s Boutique (only $19.99) with a thrifted cream and pink floral cardigan tied around the waist. Then I accessorized with cream/nude accessories to play off the cream in the cardigan: my nude faux leather purse from H&M and these nude leather earrings from Nickel & Suede. I also added pink tennies, these are actually pretty special because I bought them in a market in Costa Rica on our honeymoon! Then I topped it all off with my favorite necklace of the Manti temple where we were married.
Below is a video about what the original Easter morning made possible for all of us. Because Jesus paid for our sins, we can all repent of our sins and be worthy to return to the presence of our Heavenly Father after this life, and the best part is that there we will get to live together as families, forever and ever.
