New modest fashion line alert! Modest fashion line Fig & Lily wants women to be able to both dress modestly AND layer-free! Layering to make other tops fit my own modesty standards is something I do a lot, so finding a company that designs tees that are wearable right off the hanger is definitely my jam! Layer-free modest fashion, here we go!
When founder Mehwish reached out to me about her brand, Fig & Lily, she told me about why she started it and I just love her mission. Mehwish said she was tired of always wearing a tank or tee underneath other tops! There was always something wrong she didn’t like about other tops she found (too transparent, too low of a neckline) but the constant layering felt bulky and unfeminine. So she up and started her own modest line! She spend NINE months perfecting the fabric blend and exhausted 30+ patterns until she created the perfectly flattering tee!
On top of all of that, Fig & Lily is also environmental and people friendly. It really makes me appreciate people who take the time to look into where all of our clothes are coming from and make sure to produce their products humanely!
I say she succeeded. This top is modest, flattering, soft, and it makes me feel good knowing that purchasing it is doing no harm but instead is supporting a woman and her mission to change the world!
I could style this layer-free modest top in a variety of ways. This slate color is always ready for anything and the flattering cut can be dressed up or down so easily. I added lace-up heels and this statement necklace from 7 Charming Sisters to dress up this whole outfit and I love how it turned out.
