Happy Easter! I’m excited to show you my Easter dress this beautiful Easter Sunday! This little lilac spring dress was slightly too short and see-through for me, but nothing a little spring modesty hack couldn’t fix! Keep reading to see how I hacked this dress to fit my standards.
My amazing photographer Diana Putnam Photography will stop at nothing until we get that perfect shot! We spent the afternoon “blossom-hunting” to find the perfect blossoming trees (as inspired by Rachel Parcell’s spring blossoms shoot.) We finally found this mini orchard in Orem, UT (my hometown.)
I went to the mall to find a fun spring dress and stumbled upon this little lilac dress at Sears (who knew right?!) in the Junior’s section. I love it’s shape that accentuates the natural waist (a good shape for pencil-shaped girls like me, and for hourglass and pear shapes too!) The see-through eyelet sweetheart neckline can be modestly modified by wearing a Downeast Basics Layering Tee underneath it: I chose their nude colored layering tee. It also would have been cute with a white tee or a matching lilac/lavender tee.) The length of the dress hit about mid-thigh which is too short for my dress standards. I wanted something closer to knee-length so I wore an ivory Peekaboo Chic layering skirt underneath it. And voila! In two easy steps this little dress can be worn completely modestly for the cutest Easter Sunday look you ever did see!
To accessorize I paired this dress with a pink and purple elastic flower crown from Trendy Touch. This Opal Necklace and Double-Sided Gold Earrings are from Charlotte Russe. These tan wedges are just the greatest alternative to heels this spring and summer! This perfect-sized ivory bag with leather tassels is from Downeast.
Have a happy Easter weekend! Don’t miss the opportunity to listen to General Conference to hear the word of the Lord through his chosen apostles and prophet in these latter-days. Whether you’re a Mormon, any other type of Christian, or just looking to listen to something uplifting to get yourself in the Easter mood, this Conference has something special, some little thought that will touch your heart, waiting for just you.
And HERE are some Easter thoughs for your Easter Sunday! #BecauseHeLives
