“Knock My Moccs Off” – One outfit, two looks for work and play

How to wear Motorcycle Jeans to Work: Pair your moto jeans with a blazer to make it work appropriate

There’s something special about a tee that can easily be styled for work or play (not a blouse, but a tee!) That’s exactly how I feel about this mauve tee from Downeast Basics! This tee has a darling bird pattern, perfect just-above-the-elbow-length sleeves, an exposed zipper on the back (but it’s a large enough neck you don’t actually have to use the zipper if you don’t want to), a nice high neckline, and it hits at the waist at a nice flattering spot.

I’ve already worn this tee multiple times in multiple ways so I thought I’d show you 2 ways to wear this tee in one day! When I was working in San Francisco last summer, (now I work remotely and it rocks!) I had a train to catch and then errands to run immediately after work. I needed comfortable shoes and a versatile outfit (or outfit pieces) to accommodate for temperature changes, downtown dashes, and errand runs. I like composing looks for work and play!

First, I’ve styled it in this work-appropriate look with motorcycle jeans from Cotton On to play off the black details in the tee (be careful they run small). Worn with pink Minnetonka moccasins, (because let’s get real, how are you supposed to hustle from the train to the office in heels? Please.). I love the mauve color that matches the tee and the black beading to match the details and jeans! I found second-hand on a closet-sharing app called Poshmark (get $5 to spend on your first Poshmark purchase when you sign in and use my promocode PTZJB). Then I layered my favorite white faux-lapel blazer from Banana Republic (Similar). (I bought it 75% off at their last sale!) I love that the shape of the lapels is embroidered but they aren’t actual flaps. Then to accessorize I added a blush and nude statement necklace from Cents of Style and this blush sequin tote bag from Bohme Boutique (totes large enough to fit my laptop are a must!).

These photos were taken by Utah commercial, family, and wedding photographer Diana Putnam Photography!

Now you’re done with work and it’s time to hit the pavement! Tuck that adorable blazer into your tote bag for your commute and tuck your hair up with this lightweight headwrap from instagram shop @magsoulsista to dress-down your whole look. It’s important to feel like you’re at work when you are and that you’re at play when you’re not to really make sure you make the most of your breaks when you’re at play!
