In honor of our Two Year Anniversary today, I’m celebrating on the blog by posting all things wedding! Starting here with my wedding dress! I’m so excited!
I found this absolutely beautiful wedding dress at A Bridal Center on the very first day I tried on dresses. I went with my mother, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law not expecting to find “the dress” but we did! I knew generally the look that I wanted: a classic lace full-length gown with sleeves and a modest neckline. (When you’ve pinned the same style of dress over and over again.. that’s the one you want!)
This dress is a Maggie Sottero Bronwyn Marie dress that I didn’t need to alter at all besides having the sides taken in a bit and the dress hemmed a few inches (I’m 5’3″). It’s actually a champagne-colored slip dress covered in ivory lace. I almost didn’t try it on because it looked so champagne in real life but the second I put it on I fell in LOVE with it! I loved the champagne color and the dimension that it gave to the lace! I loved that the lace was gradually more transparent at the bottom and I loved the scalloped lace hemline. The v-neckline and capped sleeves flattered my shape and the high back and buttons were stunning. I can’t bring myself to sell it because I’m still absolutely smitten with it.
